Ceramics, wild clay, glaze, fired at 1250 degrees.

Wild clay behaves like a meteorite, creating characteristic cracks and bubbles at the bottom of the vessel. When drinking hot tea, the traces of the bubbles trap the infusion, leaving tea marks. In this way, the vessel becomes a living participant in the ceremony, creating what is called zūn in Chinese tradition – a unique patina of use.
